Once you taste farm fresh garlic you'll never go back to the jar! We grow two main varieties of flavorful garlic; both will store for a month or much longer if kept in a cool, dark location:
- Music - "This Italian variety boasts a delicious, spicy flavor when raw and a rich, sweet, and caramelly one when roasted. Its bright-white bulbs have a hint of pink and brown on the clove skins, and its large cloves are easy to peel. This porcelain-type garlic takes its name from Al Music, who brought it to Canada in the 1980s from his Italian homeland."
- Red chesnok - "Also known as ‘Shvelisi,’ this variety originated in the village of Shvelisi, Republic of Georgia. Rated as one of the best garlics for baking or roasting, it has a good lingering taste and retains flavor well when cooked. Its beautiful purple-striped paper, cloaking red cloves, is quite easy to peel."
