Pastured Pork
At Turkey River Farm, we raise a small number of heritage breed pigs and sell the pork directly to customers. We feed a non-GMO feed and we always provide pigs access to fresh pasture. Pigs are omnivores and enjoy foraging for grassroots, earthworms, windfall apples, and tree nuts on our farm. Throughout the season we supplement their feed and pasture with tons of vegetables. We make sure our pigs have shade, shelter, and fresh water and we only treat them if they are sick. We strive to create a comfortable and low-stress environment for our animals because we believe it leads to happy pigs and delicious pork for our customers!
We offer three options for buying a larger quantity of pork from us at Turkey River Farm, so you can choose the option that makes the most sense for your family and budget. The table below explains what to expect from a whole hog, half hog, and Sampler Pack.

*The delivered weight for whole and half hogs is very dependent on how much of the animal you and your family would like to use! You may choose to receive lard, soup bones, and offal (heart, liver, etc.) from your hog, which increases the delivered weight you receive.
**Our meat lockers offer many options for smoking and curing cuts of meat for whole and half hog customers. You may choose from a variety of options for products like bratwurst, sausage flavors, smoking for hams and bacon, etc. The processing fees for these smoked and cured products vary from $1.20-$3.70 per pound, depending on your selection.
***Our sampler pack is full service, which means processing and delivery fees are included. All you need to do is order a sampler pack and your pork will be delivered to your door!
